About Prep News Report
I love football. Always have. Played 7 years as a youth. I always dreamed of being a Quarterback but I wasn’t smart enough. I had the size to play tight end but wasn’t fast enough. Finally, I settled on snapping the football…turns out I wasn’t a very good blocker. This natural progression led me to my current status as a FAN. And I am good one!
The sites, smells, and sounds of football never cease to get me excited and renew my vigor for life. I love all levels of football, but there is something special about Friday Nights. Communities come together underneath the glow of Friday Night Lights to support their local teams whether they are winning or losing.
To me, the NFL is really a collection of jerseys and logos that fans are cheering for and we don’t really know the players. In high school, the players are our children and our friends and neighbors children. The cheerleaders wash our cars for a donations and we buy candy and BBQ Plates to support the band. We pass the football players in town and tell them, “good luck Friday”, “how are those grades?”, and “tell your folks I said hello”. Yes, high school football is personal.
It is my goal to bring informative and uplifting stories that cover high school football across this country. Not all news is good, but Prep News Report aims to bring readers positive stories from a sport that teaches our kids life lessons and begins to turn them into men.
I live just outside of Athens, Ga. and enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter. When not watching football, I enjoy reading, all types of music, cooking, fishing and working for CFA Medical.
